Historic Real Estate Certification Course Launches (Posted: July 29, 2010):
Risa Davis, a Portland, Oregon based Realtor® and "Preservationista", has launched a nationwide historic certification course for those selling and restoring historic homes.  Real estate professionals will be able to attend a 2 day course that will provide a comprehensive overview of issues related to the buying and selling of historic homes, as well as being a responsible steward of historic homes. 

Real estate professionals will learn to identify architectural styles, how to work with Local/State/National resources for financial and technical assistance, learn about regulations and standards for the rehabilitation of historic homes, and network with restoration professionals, historic homeowners, and tap into online historic real estate resources.

The first of a series of classes to be held throughout the United States will be on August 24-25, 2010 at the Architectural Heritage Center in Portland, Oregon.
