Property History
Built by Adam Tunno, prominent Charleston merchant, before 1788 when it appeared on Edmund Petrie's "Ichnography of Charleston," a fire insurance plat. The house was a dependency to a grand Rainbow Row townhouse. It was initially restored in the 1920s by Miss Susan Pringle Frost, an early champion for preservation in the city, and was more recently the longtime residence of a lauded Charleston preservationist.

Property Description
Located on the lower peninsula of Charleston in the select South of Broad area. Private house tucked away on "one of America's favorite historic alleys," a hidden treasure filled with charm, history, and wonderful potential. Secret gardens, courtyard, elegant interiors, high ceilings, easy flow. Off-street parking and a free-standing garage with 3 storage rooms.

Additional Notes
Important contributing property in Charleston's Historic District. The house is featured on pages 66 and 67 of the book "The Charleston Interior," by Thomas Savage and Jane Iseley. Photos are showcased on Amazon's "Look Inside" feature (search Tunno). For Sale by Owner; agents protected.
