Serving the needs of Buyers and Sellers in San Diego and surrounding Coastal Communities, Linda's is experienced in all areas of real estate, although historic and architecturally designed properties are her specialty. Trained in historic real estate by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, D.C, Linda is a specialist in both the marketing and selling of historic properties.
In 1989, Linda and her husband, Joseph, historically designated their La Jolla home and garden. Today, their English Tudor Revival home that was designed by master architect, Edgar V. Ullrich, is historic site #226, The Morgan-Larkins Home, one of the first historically designated residential homes in La Jolla. Owning a historic home has given Linda first-hand knowledge about the historic designation process and the Mills Act property tax benefit. The Mills Act provides lower property taxes for historic homes that has helped to preserve the character of many of San Diego's older neighborhoods.
A life member of Save Our Heritage Organization and the La Jolla Historical Society, Linda served on the La Jolla Historical Society's Board of Directors from 1999 to 2002. Her other membership affiliations include; The National Trust for Historic Preservation, California Preservation Foundation, Mission Hills Heritage, The Village Garden Club and the Friend's of the Virginia Robinson Gardens in Beverly Hills, CA.
The co-founder of the Secret Garden Tour of Old La Jolla, Linda's enjoys gardening and tending to her historic garden. Her garden was featured on the Secret Garden Tour in 2001 and appeared as a cover story in San Diego Home & Garden Magazine in 2002. In 2009, the magazine choose her garden as one of their 15 favorite gardens.
With a passion for historic homes, architecture, gardens and writing, Linda has written stories about La Jolla's homes and history for local publications and she also writes a monthly garden column for the La Jolla Village News. |
